On the Beach in Venezuela
Angela: What can you tell us about your program in Venezuela? How did you find the program and what type of program it was?
James: It was an international school which was geared to children of parents who work for the various oil companies that are working near Maracaibo in Venezuela.

Getting on a ferry in Maracaibo, Venezuela
Angela: Oh OK. And is it kindergarten through twelfth grade?
James: It was actually pre-kindergarten starting with three year-olds all the way until ninth grade. Even though there were a lot of grade levels there were only 60 students total in the school. Very small.
Angela: 60 students. And what was your subject area?

The ferry ride
James: I taught second and third grade multiple subject and music for second grade.
Angela: And how did you find the experience? What's your overall impression?
James: As far the teaching and the school goes I had a great time. I only had five students in my second and third grade class. It was a very good experience to see what spending a year working with that small of a class size can really do and also how far the students can progress.
