There are so many good reasons to study abroad that I could probably write a book about them. So, I’ll just list a few reasons here:

You are not threatened when confronted with ambiguity.
You become fluent in another language generally.
You have an increased zest for learning.
You don’t stress the small stuff.
You are more tolerant, open-minded, and thoughtful.
You get a brief respite from the traditional college routine.
You travel someplace you may not ever visit again.
So it is exciting and you want to remember as much as you can about it.
That’s one reason why your time about is so intense.
You develop international friendships.
You always have a place to live if you return overseas.
